Prices

Our hourly rate is always the same when you choose one of us as your lawyer: SEK 1,914 per hour (2024). We use the legal aid rate set by the Swedish National Courts Administration. In applicable cases, payment for loss of time 1 750 (e.g. travelling to and from court) of SEK 1,750 per hour (2024) will be added. Billing is done continuously.

When we draft documents such as wills or cohabitation agreements, we also have an hourly fee. The price for the document, including prior consultation and information exchange, is usually from SEK 3,400 including VAT.

We are unable to provide a set price in advance for a specific case, as it depends on how much work is needed to assist you throughout the process.

For more information on legal aid and rates, please visit the Swedish National Courts. Administration's website (note that the cost here is stated excluding VAT).

We assist you in applying for financial aid from your insurance or legal aid from the State, if applicable.

Financial Aid from Your Insurance

It is important that you, as a client, provide information so that the application for financial aid is complete. You must provide information regarding which insurance company holds your home insurance and ideally how long you have been insured with the same company.

Legal Aid from the State

For legal aid – that is, in cases where insurance does not exist or cannot be used – we fill out the application form together during our first meeting. The first hour of consultation is charged immediately, and thereafter the legal aid fee is billed continuously. Your fee is between 2 and 40% of the cost, depending on your income. There is a limit that prevents high-income earners who do not have large debts or extensive maintenance obligations to children from being granted legal aid.

Advance Payment

If financial aid or legal aid is denied, you, as the client, is liable for the full cost. In such cases, we reserve the right to request an advance payment of the fee and then issue partial invoices at regular intervals.

The state always covers the cost of a plaintiff’ counsel's work, as well as when we are your lawyers in LVU, LVM, and LPT. For public defenders, the obligation to pay debends on your income and only applies if you are convicted of a crime.
